Matthew Collins shot to fame as the quirky traveler for BBC TV's The Travel Show. Every week on the programme he was given a special assignment - anything from a trip overland to Spain with his leg in plaster ( when it wasn't broken - he had to test traveling facilities for disabled people) to a week alone in a French nudist camp. As well as TV he also writes travel books. Across America with The Boys is the story of a three month trip across the United States in a motorhome with his two pre-school children ( made whilst his wife stayed behind to start her new career). His new book is called Across Canada with The Boys and a Granny. Matthews wife Khelga is Russian so he speaks some Russian as well as fluent French and Spanish.
