Biography/Resume:
Sheena Crossley was born and brought up in Cornwall, trained in Oxfordshire and married into a large Yorkshire family. Sheena now lives in South Wales. After qualifying in Horticulture at Waterperry College and several years working in Cardiff's Parks Department, Sheena has since widened her activities to include teaching, lecturing, writing and broadcasting. She was gardening correspondent for the South Wales Echo for thirteen years and wrote for the national Garden Answers magazine. She was a member of the University of Wales Institute's Horticultural Advisory Panel for twelve years. She has since moved into both radio and television and is now a well-known personality in the gardening scene in Wales and the West of England and has national awards for both her writing and broadcasting.

Speaking Experience:
For over thirty years Sheena Crossley has lectured to amateur gardeners and serious horticultural students alike, as well as giving after-dinner speeches. Her lectures have ranged from formal adult classes to informal illustrated talks to gardening clubs, pre-retirement groups, Womens Institutes, cruise ship passengers and societies of all types and sizes. She began broadcasting on BBC Radio ten years ago and had her own weekly gardening programme for many years, as well as various other projects. In recent years she has presented several gardening programmes on BBC2 and ITV in the UK, with a new series of Get Gardening in 2000.
