Michael Ford spent seven years travelling in Asia. He co-wrote a book on Tibet and is currently working for Rough Guides on their India Book. His articles have been published in various magazines. He teaches English as a foreign language and won the National Travel Photography Competition for Wanderlust Magazine in 1998.

Michael Ford has several years experience speaking at the International Travel Writers travel shows, Cambridge University, Bristol University, the Edinburgh Pump Rooms, G-Mex in Manchester, Watershed Media Centre in Bristol. He has undertaken various nationwide events on behalf of Tibet Support Group.
