Biography/Resume:

Ted Grey is a former teacher of Geography and Geology at Shirebrook School in North East Derbyshire. With colleagues in Derbyshire he pioneered expeditions from Derbyshire schools across the full ability range. A Founder Member of the Young Explorers' Trust, he is a Past Chairman and its current Secretary. He is a very keen advocate of the educational value of the outdoors. He is an experienced expeditioner and traveller and an accomplished photographer. His slides convey the beauty and interest of each area and the accompanying talk entertainingly tells a story and delves into the geography, life of the people, history and natural history. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Ted Grey is an experienced speaker to all types of audience from general interest to professional groups. He has spoken at the Royal Geographical Society, been a Guest Speaker on the cruise liner Queen Elizabeth 2, University Exploration Groups, at conferences on the outdoors and to local groups in the Nottinghamshire area.
