Biography/Resume:
Shirly Line has had a life of travel, television
and radio as a freelance journalist After many years involved in
writing, promoting and editing for food products, and a spell as
consultant to the UK Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food for the
European Commission, Shirly is now a frequent contributor on Radio and
TV [most recently for Granada in the UK and German TV AKD and News M TV
France]. She is working on a film for the European Community on
nutritional value and availability of crustacea and mollusc in the UK,
and is also preparing for a documentary film on Oysters. She has a
reasonable knowledge of French and Spanish.

Shirly has spoken at the Palais Beaulieu in
Lausanne at the Seafood Festival [in French], St Gothard Hotel in Zurich
to launch the Oyster Festival, American Womens Club of Geneva, Wellfleet
USA as a guest of honour at Oyster launch, Marennes France at the
Galants de la Verte Marennes dinner, and at Agriculture House 'Womens
Farming Union'. She also represented Great Britain at the Baltic Oyster
opening Championships, and has given a paper in Edinburgh at the Seafood
Conference. |
