Biography/Resume:
Anne Paul has been a noted, mainly Asia-based gemmologist and gemmology lecturer for the past quarter-century. A founding member and thrice-elected past president of the Gemmological Association of Hong Kong, she ran her own gemmology school, an Allied Teaching Centre of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain, in Hong Kong during the final decades of the British colonial period. Subsequently, when her editor husband's career moved the Pauls from Hong Kong, she practised gemmology in Tokyo, New York gemmologist/cataloguer with Christie's) and Bangkok (course developer at the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences). A Wellesley graduate (Art/Education), she has British, U.S. and Australian gemmological qualifications. Anne Paul has led gemstone study tours to Japan, China, Thailand and Sri Lanka, and with her husband has widely travelled the Asia-Pacific region.
