Biography/Resume:
Terry Underhill has been a professional
horticulturalist since leaving Grammar School. He is married to a
horticulturalist. Parks; University Botanical Gardens; Educational
establishment and gardens (Dartington Hall Gardens 16 years). Director
Horticultural Training Centre; Television gardening presenter/producer -
30 min. weekly 1981-94; Radio; writing; consultancy; Organising and
leading tours and lecturing, nationwide and worldwide for over 45 years;
Photographer ; Naturalist and Conservationist. Folk Dancer and Morris
Man.
Subjects:
Most ornamental horticultural topics, foreign
flora an fauna (European Mountains, Mediterranean, NW America, Galapagos
and Ecuador, Himalayas and Ethiopia) Studied many other regions flora
and fauna. Particular interest in plant uses, history and folk lore.
